The beer pours a brown color with a creamy tan head that lasts. The aroma is good. It has a very malty scent that boasts of crystal and chocolate malts along with some nutty notes. It's sweet smelling; very nice. The taste is awesome. It has a wicked malty flavor that screams caramel and chocolate malts. It goes down effortlessly with a nutty finish. This is a damn tastey beer. The malt flavor is quite intense. The mouthfeel is exceptional. It is a medium/full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a great brown ale. It's loaded with malts and is full bodied. I like a sweeter brown ale and this doesn't disappoint.

No foam, no lacing and aroma nearly undetecatable. The first impression on the palate is what I might call "woody." Dry, mildly malted middle, followed by a tart/sour aftertaste, and a dry residue. Medium body, mildly carbonated. Not a bad beer, just not great: similar to a Shiner Bock without any of their complexity. Hey - try it for yourself!
