Brewed for Dia, S.A. by contract brewer Font Salem for the Portuguese Dia supermarket chain. Low alcohol beer (<0.5% per the can label).
33cl aluminum can purchased at a Dia market in Lisbon. "Quality lager beer." 46 kcal per can.
Served cold.
Taste is unmetallic - and isn't that a godsend in a supermarket exclusive budget lager? Malty of course, with a hint of grassy hop character but no commitment to hop flavour at all. Crisp and overcarbonated without being sharply or bitingly so. It's just some graininess and cheap pilsner malt. No off-putting sweetness at all, nor any off-flavours. Very neutral and insipid, as expected. No notes of bothersome adjunct.
Smooth, wet, unrefreshing. Light-bodied. Neither thick nor thin.
Definitely drinkable, if only for its neutrality, blandness, shallowness, and simplicity. It doesn't pack in the flavour like the best expressions of the style, but it's an inoffensive table beer without any watery or off characteristics. I can't say I'd buy it again, but I've had worse low/no alcohol brews.
D+ (2.40) / NOT RECOMMENDED
