Here at the Hop Hooligans Institute we take great pride on messing with other people’s cultures, especially the most taboo of their rituals. So we hope that Japanese tea masters will be able to manage with Earl Grey or chamomile during their fancy ceremonies, because we stole their precious whole leaf green tea for a special brew.
Hops can take a break, but just for a second or so, because there’s a new fruity, aromatic botanical in the house. So take a deep bow and welcome Sencha into your lives. And into your gullets.

Pours a cloudy, pale golden coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells rather intoxicating of light biscuity malt and a distinct green tea aroma, with some fruity accents. Taste is a great balance of rather light biscuity malt and subtle but distinct, floral, bitter green tea notes, as well as some fruity, hoppy accents with hints of peach and citrus. Finishes with a light bitterness and some green tea and citrus lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light body and medium carbonation.
I think this is a great, really interesting brew and would love to know which and how much hops were used here because it's actually kinda hard to tell where the green tea ends and the hops start with the flavor profile, as there is a lot of overlap with those floral, bitter and kinda herbal and fruity notes. While the whole beer may feel a little light and the flavors subtle, there still is a distinct green tea vibe to this, which I really love and makes for a very refreshing drinking experience. If this wasn't so expensive, I could drink it all day with the current temperatures.

Dark amber cloudy look.
Smell of peaches, fresh grass and bubble gum.
You can immediately sense the green tea with a medium bitterness, a bit of an yeasty and bread-like taste and some sourness in the end.
Very refreshing, like a green tea indeed.
PS: last batches lost the initial pure green tea feel to a more juice-like flavour, which is a minus.

Clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has peach notes and some green tea with clean malt in the background. Taste follows with the peach, like a green ice tea with peach flavor mixed with a clean pale ale. Medium body and carbonation. It’s a nice, easy drinking beer with interesting flavors but feels somehow artificial.
