Copenhagen 7/7 2025. 50 cl can from Meny, Illums, Kbh. K. A manic yellow skinned dude with a little crown making coffee at an espresso machine.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small dark beige head. Bubbly. Disappearsafter afewswconds leaving only a thin patch off foam behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, sugary sweet odor mingling with a little spicy favoring. Dark roasted malts, toffee and caramel. Brown sugar. Vanilla and tonka beans. Bitter coffee chiming in.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, viscous, very lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with sweet pasty undertone. Lingering. Finish is rather dry with a boozy touch.
Potent with some strong coffee to balance the sweet stuff. Not overdoing the Tonka.

330ml can in Beer O'Clock, Bucharest (23 lei):
Jet black, initially with a thin tan lacing around the circumference but that went fast. Its thick & opaque with dark chocolate malts, vanilla & a boozy alcohol middle. There's some nice cocoa & cloves, it's strong but not overpowering. The taste is similar, lots of coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate & faintly roasted malts but the balance is great. Its full bodied & silky smooth, rich & sweet with a slightly warming, boozy finish but it doesn't feel like 10.5% & it goes down relatively well. Best from Romania thus far, if only the nose was a little more pronounced.
