Hop Hooligans

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of mango, papaya and tangerine, as well as some floral accents. Taste is a decent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, floral, slightly grassy and herbal hops, with tropical and citrus notes of mango, papaya and tangerine, as well as a certain floral potpourri note. Finishes with a light bitterness and some mango, tangerine and potpourri lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

I'm not a huge fan of these hop blends like Cryo Pop, they seem unclean and not well-defined to me, which is made worse here by that some somewhat typical overripe feel that some TIPAs have. There's a strong, floral, almost soapy and rather unpleasant potpourri note to this as well, which made worse by a certain booziness, another typical flaw of not-so-great TIPAs. What's even worse is that this totally lacks those bright and vibrant passion fruit and orange notes that I expect from Galaxy and Citra, seemingly drowned out by the flaws of this. At least this is not that sweet, with a certain bitterness in the finish, but just feels too floral/soapy, overripe and boozy with the hops feeling washed up and not that expressive.
