Near black pour, dark and opaque in the glass; thin yet decent brown head, a bit fizzy yet holding with a decent density. Rich, dark roasted grains with a dose of booziness; some spiciness. Dazzling rich and complex flavors; milk chocolate and cocoa powder initially; rye; subtle maple syrup; whiskey. Amazing body; thick and viscous; densely sticky sweetness; warming alcohol undercurrent.
Holy moly, but this beast is a joy to sip! Powerful flavors and mouthfeel greet you right off. The taste lingers long into the finish, initially fired up with the sweetness and booziness, yet it is the dark chocolate tones that last to the end. Heavy-duty and robust with a very agreeable taste and feel.
