22 oz waxed bottle served in a Deschutes snifter. Thanks to pmoney for the share.
A: Pours a semi-hazy brownish color. Dark amber around the edges. Light white head forms on the pour and recedes to a thin ring. Some soapy lace is left down the glass.
S: Oaky with some light vinous notes. Red grape, pale malt and little toast.
T: Light toffee, oak and some pale malts. The red wine is a little more apparent with some tart grape and semi-sweet berry.
M: Dry and light bodied. Medium high carb. Slightly sour finish.
O: Decent. A little to oak forward, but the base didn't get lost. Red wine was a nice touch.

22oz, winter 2011/2012
Victory tulip
A: Pours out a deep reddish brown color. It's slightly hazy. Carbonation is rather faint. An edge of off white head formed. No lacing.
S: Smells of tannin like notes. Maybe some cherries.
T: A very slight tart cherry start to this one. No where near where I thought it would be. The flavors are fairly tannin like. But assumed there was more sour in this one. Finish is just ew.
M: A light medium.
