Copenhagen 14/3 2020. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Over-scribbled dark green label telling me of aging for 7 months in whiskey barrels from Jameson.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a fairly large beige head. Stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is potent, sweet and laced with boozy whiskey. Brown sugar, caramel. Leather. Strong odor of whiskey with a light touch of peat. Alcohol peeping through.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, surprisingly lively texture.
Flavor is medium intense. Medium sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a while. Finish has a light alcoholic burn.
A barrel aged stout where I can taste the whiskey. Nice.
