Taster flight at Post Falls. Clear amber pour, wispy head. Sweet, malty aroma, fruity. Taste starts with sweet malts, leathery notes, tobacco, mild bitterness with a dry finish.

always good to see a tap handle from this operation, this one is slightly hoppy, dry, and bitter for the style, unexpected or something just called amber, a little metallic to me, cheap tasting, especially in the aftertaste, but maybe it was in the tap line awhile too long, who is to say. deeper mahogany colored, frothy and lively from the tap, looks as excited as an amber ale can be about itself, which is a good start. the nose is minimal to me, and the taste is not incredible, its metallic, a bit cheap tasting, and to me hoppy in a weird generic way, like oddly bitter, but not in a red ipa direction, as there is not much flavor to the hops here, and part of me wonders how long this sat in the line, or how arbitrary the hopping was, this is decidedly less intentional than it presents as. light yeasty twang suggesting this isnt fully professional, but also manifesting in a unique enough way to not be a lousy forgettable take in the style. do i demand more from this in every way? certainly! but do i hate it? no. i just want a little more here, the malt works, i like it being bitter and more balanced that way, and i even like it having a yeast profile, but its disjointed and thin and should be better than it is...
