Probably had this beer when we went there shortly after they opened. I like IPA's and I probably tried this one as this is one of the few that date back to that period. We went there in the Fall of 2017.

Look: Burnt orange and clear in the glass and my pour initiates a fast-forming white head that rapidly settles to a lid, leaving nice lacing behind
Aroma: Cara cara orange, pink grapefruit, tangerines, light rhubarb, crushed fir needles, a little guava, raspberries, and light bready malt
Taste: A barrage of citrus fruit comes on strong out of the gate with layers of orange, grapefruit, and tangerines all in play. This is followed by some light tropical fruit, berries, and lightly resinous conifer that shine on their own quickly before blending well with the citrus. Closes out with sharp conifer, citrus, raspberries, and a light bite
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and light to moderate dryness on the finish
Overall: I dig it. A new one for me from these folks and although their lagers are typically what grabs my (and my wallet’s) attention, I’ll try anything from any brewer I respect so gave this a whirl. A tasty and well-made WCIPA that has a lighter feel and malt bill too, which I dig in the warmer weather. Definitely worth the purchase and I recommend checking it out

Taster at brewery. Bright, clear golden with small collar of head. Aroma is piney, old school. Taste is even bolder with big astringent hop bitterness. A taste of the good old days...

Here's the 2023 edition, canned 02/17. Handsome clear amber brew with long-lasting foam in the tall IPA glass. Clean aroma of fruit and pine. Lush and sudsy on the tongue. Moderate sweetness, which goes well with the flavors of pineapple, peach, and lemon. Plenty of bitterness in good balance with the malt and aromatics. A robustly flavored and very enjoyable hoppy brew followed by a serious bitter tang. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Good looking pour, clean and clear bright amber. Very light head. A whiff of citrus, no much else. Very hoppy, clean finish. Fairly dry, which we like. A very solid West Coast IPA.

Solid. Clear golden body, slight caramelly hue; floral and leafy, herbal and grapefruit throughout, mild caramel bite, WC IPA all the way. Medium body and appropriate carbonation. Moderate floral and herbal bitterness.

16oz can
Pours a small finger of white head into my nonic, fades somewhat quickly. Initial lacing looks good. Body is a darkish orange. Quite clear, with a decent amount of bubbles coming up. Looks ok so far.
Nose is pine, zest, gooseberries, faintly tropical. Not much malt contribution. Smells pretty nice, berries and other fruit notes are quite lovely. Zest seems a little southern hemisphere, and I’m not too keen on that, but that’s a personal preference.
Flavor is pretty on par. A little zest, but not much. Hits first with a mostly, albeit moderate, pine. Finishes clean and wet with a few fruit/berry notes. Pretty light flavor overall, but very clean and easy drinking. Not sure I can bring myself to give this a big grade, but it is a very crushable beer.
Mouthfeel works well. Body is on the lighter side, which fits the sessionable nature of the beer. Carbonation is medium. Not sweet, has an overall wet refreshing feel, that finishes a little bitter and somewhat dry – a noteworthy transition.
Appearance turned out ok. Lacing was quite patchy, but not terrible.
Overall a great summer beer, not one I’d be sending to GABF for west coast IPA though.

On tap at Wayfinder.
Clear light amber with dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. Nose has massive fruity dry hop character, bright and clean with peach, passionfruit and tempered by a noticeable pine bitterness. Floral and fragrant with a definite perfume hop character. Palate opens bitter but unfortunately overcarbonated. Clean pine, bitter, resiny, along with grapefruit and peach. The mid Palate has floral and perfume hop notes, with moderate peach and passionfruit. Drying, bitter on the finish with a lingering bitterness, resiny and pine like. Excellent.
