16oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy golden pour, small tight white head, streaky lacing. Citrusy aroma grapefruit peel. Taste is zesty, grapefruit, a bit of pineapple, orange pith.

they have taken this name and apparently made it a mellower beer, double dry hoppy only now rather than being a double ipa as well, just 6.6% abv stated on my pint can, different art than what is pictured here, could be a typo i guess, its pretty bold to drink, but probably not with the attention to detail all their stuff always seems to have. amarillo, mosaic, and simcoe, pretty classic, well made beer and very fresh and juicy, but not among the most compelling wayfinder beers ive had, that mark is very high indeed. pale orange, pretty dense, near inch of tightly packed white head, a little muted maybe in tone but nice and active. aroma here is citrus forward, the simcoe pops for me, with a little bit of aromatic sweetness from the grain, navel orange juice and grapefruit, ripe cantaloupe, a mandarin from the can thing, and maybe a subtle white grape note too, a little weedy, fresh, mostly familiar, balanced, light on the bitterness for this hop load. similar flavor, more pineapple from the mosaic now, a coconut note, meyer lemon, subtle peach, but still heavy recognizable citrus too, nice with grilled seafood right away, flavorful enough to enhance but not so intense as to take over. there is a faint yeast element to this that i like, enhances some of the juiciness maybe, and this does extend a ways with some sugar left in it, but bubbly enough and fresh enough to still be really drinkable. a little grain weight on it, so me not quite as bright overall as the best of them, but they have gotten a lot out of these varietals, the dosage is right on, and i think this has nice flow from start to finish. not every hazy needs to be something radical and new, sometimes good is good enough, and thats what this is. so stoked to be seeing beer from these guys around idaho lately!

Nice hazy golden body. Freshly squeezed grapefruit and more citrus. Milder caramel sweetness than expected, letting the hops shine with a bigger juice quotient. Light floral, medium grapefruit zest, pomelo on the finish. Medium body. Nice carb.

16oz can
Pours a little over a finger of white head into my Willi glass. Retention is about average. Body is OJ. Looks decent so far.
Nose has a fair amount of citrus rind, pineapple. Mango comes out with agitation. Pretty strait forward, but very aromatic. Somewhat generic too, but it’s on the top of that spectrum. I haven’t had a hazy in a while, so I have a little more patients for generic. Smells really good.
Flavor is even juicier than I expected, maybe too much for my liking. Mango, a touch of dankness, maybe slightly herbal. Tastes pretty good, but nothing special within the category - not like that’s an easy feat these days.
Carbonation is pretty high, and there is some definite zing to this beer from the hops. Bitterness hits at the end and is moderate, aided heavily by the rough citrus. Very well balanced, not dry or sweet. Despite the fair amount of action, the body is on the lighter side. Overall a good mouthfeel.
The high carbonation and lively mouthfeel are pretty filling, and do bring the drinkability down a little bit, but it’s tasty enough to want to savor anyways, so it’s a welcome problem.
Appearance turned out decent. Lacing wasn’t very full, but something is better than nothing.
Overall a pretty straightforward hazy in terms of individual flavors and complexity. Herbal hops and hop burn come out way more over time and add to the intensity and flavor. By the end of the glass the flavor is pretty strong, points there. Balance is also appreciated. After all is said and done, I’m very pleased.

Can from Market of Choice.
A hazy orange with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is really good, and I say this as someone who's not a big fan of the style. Plenty of juice, for sure, but Also a moderate bitterness. Fresh squeezed OJ, passionfruit, pineapple, mango, along with a dank weed note are present. Mininal grass or other off flavors. The palate opens moderately bitter with pine and some citrus pith, which work well to temper the fruity sweetness that's present. Plenty of orange, peach and mango, along with a little bit of passionfruit are present. Mild heat, which also works nicely. Medium in body and softly carbonated, this is quite excellent.
