Interesting. Dark black body, tan head. Nice mild smoke, good chocolate but not too sweet or heavy. Mildly nutty. Mild bitter smoke and earth. Medium body, good carbonation. It works, different than most other beers out there, but it's freaking Wayfinder.

Very dark brown, not quite opaque. Modest head, light aroma of smoke. Dry taste, body is medium, typical of the London variety. Smoky notes are more like a peat smoke, not hardwood. Nice flavor, much different from a Rauchbier. I can easily imagine sipping one of these in a cozy country pub on a blustery fall afternoon.

Look: typical darkish brown colour, good tight head with excellent retention.
Smell: Nose is roasty, smokey with a good cocoa component.
Taste: Is quite complex, earthy, a bit bready, the cocoa and smoke are exciting. The malts are outstanding. Think i get a little dried fruit too, maybe cherry or perhaps raisin.
Feel: succulent
Overall A very complex brew.
My new favourite porter.

this is so good. there is no better time for smoked beer either, so glad i found a can of this, and i have been super impressed with these guys so far, albeit i have not had much of their stuff yet. this one is bold, heavy on the smoke, chocolate forward, but on the dry side too, burnt toast, coffee, and the yeast is english and exciting, i thought it might be more german, but not the case, cool fusion in that way. the beer is rich and dark looking, not quite black but on the way, and the head is high and creamy. this has a great texture to it, a ton of froth and smoothness, its puffy but also light, and the deep flavors like that lift. its a long flavor trajectory too, campfire up front, almond and chestnut and bitter cocoa in the middle, warming breadiness and a sweeter almost cognac thing late with more smoke, a hint of raisin too, very complex. i really like the fermentation profile with the dark malts, i like the aggressiveness of the smoke, and the overall quality is very high. this to me is a perfect fall beer, works for still warm afternoons and continues to satisfy although in a distinctly different way as the sun goes down and the chill creeps into the night air. love the style, and this is a wonderful twist, very well done. these guys are on fire!

Can from The Beermongers.
Dark brown with light brown head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is a withheld blend of roast , cocoa, light smoke, earth and mild hops. The palate opens smoky and earthy, with cocoa, a little dust. Drying, toasty, creamy, medium in body. Lovely lingering smoke on the finish. Excellent.
