16oz can
Pours two fingers of fluffy white head into my Willi glass. Retention is pretty nice, and a good portion of the head remains after a few minutes. Initial lacing looks very nice. Body is golden orange, crystal clear, with a medium amount of bubbles coming up. Looks good so far.
Nose has tropical fruit and citrus rind, backed by some malt that I’m afraid might be a little much for me - there seems to be substantial sugars. The nose itself is very nice, the fruit is quite robust, but I’m cautious about the flavor.
Yeah this is a massive beer. I’ll give it credit that the sugars aren’t terribly cloying, but there is definitely some sugar here, and there is a significant hit of alcohol that gives pause. Hard to avoid either of those things given 10.5%, but it still has to be noted. The fruit that is present is pretty masked by the rest of the characteristics, to the point you don’t really notice them. It’s an ok flavor, but I think this is just a little too much, at least for me.
Carbonation is medium. Despite the significant sugars, the body remains relatively light. Bitterness is surprisingly low, though the alcohol bite muddies the overall astringency of the beer. Overall an ok mouthfeel, the alcohol is a bit much at times.
Drinkability is on the lower end. Certainly not cringeworthy, but definitely a sipper.
Appearance turned out ok. Lacing was subpar, but present. Head eventually died down entirely.
Overall nothing horrible here, but I think it’s a little overzealous to try and make a 10.5% IPA work, few have succeeded.

Look: golden orange colour, very tight head.
Smell: Dank nose w a good dose of pine.
Taste: floral piney, citrusy (juicy) slightly herbal with enough malt to pull it off. The 10.5% ABV is completely hidden
Mouthfeel is great and quite full.
Overall this is a banger. Best bit is that it isn't hazy.

Can. Thanks, Chris!
A clear golden orange with a dense, white head. The nose is dank, piney, bitter with pine, floral essence, gobs of citrus, citrus zest, dank and a little herbal. No malt presence. The palate opens bitter and abrasive with loads of pine, pine sap, clean and pungent with citrus notes following. Melon, grape, a little bit of raw peach are present. Bitter, drying, and abrasive on the finish. Very dry, lending a mineral note to the bitterness, and amplifying the abrasive hop character. Very tasty, but I wish it had a touch of malt to balance it. This becomes especially clear towards the end of the can.
