During our venture into the desert of Paso Robles for the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest, the brewing minds at Firestone and Wayfinder conjured a plan to make use of lots of different hopping techniques. 7% ABV Cold IPA that's dip-hopped, dry-hopped, cold hopped, and hot hopped. A variable hop smorgasbord.

16oz can. Can bottom is stamped '01/05/22'. Identified as a 'COLD IPA', with an ABV% of 7.0%.
Partly cloudy, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head, and then a bubbly ring.
Aroma of pine and juniper berry hops, sweet and savory.
Taste is a one punch experience, without a lot of longevity or aftertaste. Flavors of pineapple, orange, mango, and butterscotch. Minor pine bitterness.
Thicker mouth feel. Dry finish. Good carbonation.
Well constructed IPA.

Can from The Beermongers.
A clear light orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is fresh, clean, fruity and soft, with a melon and papaya note. A touch of alcohol and fruity esters. The palate opens with a blend of mild bitterness, oily, pithy, bright with citrus, some papaya and stone fruit. Drying, fruity, finish. Solid.

16oz can
Pours a finger of white head into my Willi. Somewhat fizzy, mostly fades within a minute or two, but settles into a firm film. Body is golden, clear for the most part, with minimal bubbles coming up.
Nose is bursting with mango and passion fruit. Underlying dank notes. There is a pretty considerable bubblegum/perfume/candi sugar aroma here. It's a little over the top, but this still smells quite good.
Definitely fruit and perfume on the flavor, faint dankness. Gets pretty spicy/piney/northwest over time. It's quite peculiar, but it comes together pretty well.
Carbonation is medium-high. Pretty light bodied, as it should be. Very clean, but there is a touch of sweetness in the finish. Bitterness isn't over the top, but there is a significant spice that hits the throat. Solid mouthfeel
Drinkability is great.
Appearance turned out disappointing. Zero lacing and the head disappeared entirely.
This is very unique. Really a tale of two flavors - fruity/perfumey on one end, with a huge punch of spicy pine on the other. Pretty nice.
