Look: Straw yellow in color and cloudy with a booming white head that froths to the rim and refuses to settle, slowly puckering away
Aroma: Freshly cut grass, lemon flesh and zest, pink jasmine, pilsner malt, limes, and soda crackers
Taste: Opens up with a taste reminiscent of sucking on a lemon wedge while smelling a flower bouquet and in a very bold way. That flavor combo is joined by freshly cut grass and those hold the spotlight as cracker-like pilsner malt peeks in as well. Closes with one more blast of lemon-lime and flowers
Mouthfeel: Light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and crisp on the finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I had to try this when I spotted it as I think Mt. Hood hops are underrated and underutilized, plug dig non-IPA/pale fresh hop beers and my decision paid off. The lemony floral component of Mt. Hood hops are on display along with the grassy notes of fresh hops and in a light package that really lets them shine. A treat and worth checking out
