Murky pale golden body with two fingers of pearl white foam, trace layers of lacing. Getting bright citrus and crisp rice malt forward tones in the nose, yuzu and vague tropical drier aromas there too. Taste adds some mild passionfruit, less yuzu. Crisp and clean, dries out through the sip nicely, bright hops finish. Easy drinker would have in summer

16oz can

Pours over a finger of white head into my Willi. Retention is above average and half of the head remains after a few minutes. Lacing is very nice. Body is pale yellow, crystal clear, with a very hefty nucleation. Looks really good.

Nose a zesty, catty, dirty. Not my kind of hop profile. Hops dominate and leave little room for the rice or lager character to come through.

The flavor is much smoother. Slightly catty and earthy, some starchy rice comes through and that helps a bit. Tastes ok.

Carbonation is medium. Very light bodied. Bitterness is medium, but does linger a bit in the finish. Those starches bring a decent little sweetness here, very welcome. Overall the mouthfeel does a lot of work in keeping the beer balanced and grounded.

Drinkability is pretty good.

Overall a relatively enjoyable brew once you get past the astringent nose. Rice shows up in small doses.
