Secret Secret with a fall twist, smoked malt. This bewitching brew pours an obsidian black, evoking the mystery of a moonless night in the heart of Bohemia. Aromas of dark fruit, rich caramel, and subtle dark chocolate mingle with a gentle malt sweetness, while a whisper of smoke invites you on a journey into the unknown.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 9/5/25.
Appearance: rich, dark brown hue with a thick head of frothy dark-tan foam atop. Looking good!
Smell: sweet, with hints of chocolate and a distinct malt aroma -- like, malted milk balls. On top of that is a light smokiness that, combined with the other aromas and sweetness, almost comes off like root beer. Odd! But not bad!
Taste: oh yeah, that odd kinda root beer or cola character is way stronger in the flavor than in the aroma. It's quite malty and quite sweet, again with hints of chocolate, but the smoky character and the sweetness have some strange synergy. This beer is quite unusual, but ... I kinda like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I'd never have guessed the underlying beer was a Czech dark lager. I feel like it's sweet for a rauchbier, and that yields some unique results. I don't know if I'd want to drink this all the time, but it's definitely something I'm enjoying here in the moment.

From the can this pours with the color of a dark roast coffee. Big smoky aroma, campfire and bacon and a nice scotch all come to mind. The sip is light, with a sharp roasty bite on the finish. Wonderful beer, especially for a fan of smoked beers.

16oz can from Tavour. Opaque, dark brown pour, creamy, fluffy, beige head. Light smoky, roasty aroma, toast. Taste is roasty, chocolate, smoky, with a light bitterness at the finish. Minor sweet notes throughout as well.

16-ounce can purchased at Noble Hop Bierhaus in Hillsboro, OR. Date stamp features the Wayfinder logo and reads "CANNED ON 09/06/25". Enjoyed in a nonic half-pint glass.
Beautiful chestnut brown body with thick tan foam that lasts halfway down this half-pint glass and leaves abundant lacing. The nose offers bready, semi-sweet malt that's slightly nutty, with notes of caramel, barely burnt toast, and an almost imperceptible whisper of smoke. The flavor is similar, leading with dark malts that start semi-sweet and get drier and more roasty through the middle. Notes of caramel, coffee, fruity dark chocolate, nutty multigrain bread. Hop character is mild and leans earthy and floral. Smoke is very hard to find. I wish I had a can of regular Secret Secret for comparison. Body is light-medium, carbonation is graceful, drinkability is top notch. Overall, this is a very tasty Czech-style dark lager, but the paucity of smoke character is disappointing.
