Bottle conditioned. Very dark chestnut. Thick frothy head which settles to an effervescing layer.
Smell of charred toast, dark chocolate and with hints of rum and raisin fudge
Tastes like the aroma.
Decent bottle conditioned feel. Smooth.
Pleasant indeed and full of flavour for a low ABV beer.

Pours darkest mahoghany into a tulip glass from a bottle. The beige head is two fingers high, close, foamy, and diminishes into surface froth after a short while. It leaves good lacing behind.
It smells like a mild smoky porter, oaky, some leather, and a bit of tobacco. There is a slight dark fruit sweetness but its just enough to balance the mature aromas. The flavour is very much like the nose, woodsmoke, charred plum and fig, roasted grain, and tobacco. The overall flavour is mild as you'd expect yet complex.
It feels quite light bodied for a dark ale, wet, with minimal carbonation. It may be thin, but it isn't watery.
This is great sessioning beer, easy drinking, and like a good porter without the booziness.
