From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on February 24, 2018.
It is a nice looking dark brown to just about black with a lingering tan head that leaves little in the way of lacing.
Big roasted and charred mat aromas with a subtle earthy hop presence. Some cocoa.
The body is light and rather thin. But I would still call it smooth.
The roasted and charred malt flavors ended at the aroma. Not as bold in the taste. Still some earthiness in the taste profile and a mild to moderate dry hopped finish.

Bottle from East Derry Solid dark brown bordering on black with a huge frothy bubbly tan head that persists. Rich chocolate caramel smoke and bitter roast with a touch of earth and fruit. A bit heavy on the smoke and roast for my tastes it comes off overly bitter to me. Well made beer though.
