As this place is also a bed & breakfast, it really has the vibe of an old inn. The taproom is in the basement, complete with exposed timbers and low ceilings. There is a gorgeous garden outside with small cafe tables. It sits right at the intersection of two roads and is realy quaint. Service was good with respectable beers.

Visited in July 5 on my way to Luray for a business retreat. A bed and breakfast. Very quaint. Sat outside in a very small beer garden. Dog friendly. Beautifully day after a rain. Dinner time on Sunday. Not a beer centric place. You can bring your own food though they do have some small plate noshes.

Vibe: Cool place. Very small bar area, but there was an outdoor beer garden and a cool-looking room with more available seating. In the basement of a bed and breakfast. Place was mostly empty, but this was a Thursday in a small town and there was an event going on at Sperryville's other brewery, so that checks.
Quality: Very good, very creative.
Service: Owner/brewer/bartender is a nice guy. Not overly talkative, but still cool. Had kind of a dry sense of humor (when I asked if this was the first brewery in Sperryville, he said "well, the first legal one.") There were free stickers and free coasters, and when I noticed they still had some of their previous version of the coasters, he gave me a bunch of them. Apparently he had been using them to take notes on the Democratic primary debates. Gave me and my girlfriend directions on how to get to Pen Druid, the other brewery in town, which was clutch because there was no cell service.
Selection: They had 9 of their own beers on tap. I remember because they were offering a flight of all of them for 27 bucks. It would be impressive, considering the size of the brewery. They also offered bottles to go.
