This is a decent porter beer. It is dark, has a full flavorful taste, and is heavily doughy. It pours dark (almost the color of Coke soda) and smells of a bakery. Not the kind of beer to drink a lot of, because of the heaviness. Yet, it is a good sipper that pairs well with southern home cooking.

Honestly, this is a good porter. In another review I read something about over-carbonation being a problem. At first, I see it. But since it is a porter, you want to give these types of beer time to settle in and warm up a bit (not warm but warmer than fridge temperature). With the first cold sips, you do get overcarbonation and a weird blend of flavors. But once you let it settle in for a while and lose a bit of it’s cool, it becomes a very flavorful porter. There’s nothing special about it, since it is a regular porter, but that’s the beauty of it. Regular flavors but powerful. You get a lot of the chocolate, toffee, and coffee flavors. I was pleasantly surprised on this beer. I’m not the biggest fan of their stuff but this one was great!

Way over carbonated.
Notes of dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, coffee.
Lingering bittersweet chocolate.
Again, body is much too thin due, at least in part, apparently, to overcarbonation.

I dig the look due to me living in The Chuck my whole life. The I10 bridge is a staple in this city.
