Crying Eagle brewery is fairly close to where I live. It is a great place with a nice atmosphere. This Hop-Blooded IPA is full of flavor with citrus notes of lemon, lime. It is hoppy and is smoother than most other IPAs. It’s a good beer to add to your inventory.

Poured from can into tulip, good 2 finger cream colored head, so so retention, good lacing. Pale amberish in the glass, slightly opaque, chill haze perhaps. Not much to the nose, some caramel malt, slight bit of orange. Taste is initially sweet malt, good tart orange on the front, some pineapple thru the middle and there is a slight bitterness on the finish. Good clean drinking beer, very little residual, makes you want to go back for more. I would think if they played around with the hops on this they could take this to the next level. I am a sucker for blood orange anything...

I liked this relative to other local similar offerings. I did drink it warm, so it might have been better cold, but on the other hand i was in the sun and it was nice regardless.
