I've been to Wayzata Brew Works a bunch of times, but am finally getting around to reviewing. Often I go around opening time or mid-days when the views are great but the spacious room is extremely quiet. Last night the place was hopping, as we went in the middle of a couple of birthday parties, a wedding party was just leaving, and a good cover band started playing. Service was excellent but in full disclosure we happen to know a couple of the bartenders. Good selection spanning a range of standards but including a berry Gose (low ABV) and a double IPA. Quality was consistently good, although the wheat had an unexpected (and unexplained) bitterness to it given 11 IBU.

This place has a great atmosphere and location being on Lake Minnetonka, but this might be the first place I could not finish my beer both times I visited. Both times I left disappointed. Their taproom looks very nice and has a great patio. Their bartenders are not very knowledgeable and neither is the majority of their clientele. I will never give this place a chance again.
