De 32fgp. Jugando a Transistor, luego a Marcus Level. Perfiil dulzon y alcoholico tipico del estilo, aunque el quemazon alcoholico en este caso esta algo por encima de lo deseable. Sin apenas espuma

2016 Via della Cornacchia, a barley wine from Hilltop Brewery in Italy. Comes in at 11.5%, which is perfect. Poured from fridge temp. Almost not head apparent, despite a vigorous pour. Look is a dark orange, almost red. Fairly non-transparent. Nose is huge caramel, vanilla, plums, a bit of syrup. Taste is a bit bitter upfront, which was not at all apparent on the nose. Really nice, with big caramel flavors. Definitely getting the syrupy taste, especially with the lack of carbonation. Carbonation is equivalent to a typical Hair of the Dog beer. Getting a slight amount of citrus peel and spice from the fruity esters. It's definitely good, but perhaps a bit too multidimensional. The bitter, spice, and sweet are a bit much. The balance could be improved. Mouthfeel is nice - quite syrupy and thick.
