Carolina Creamsicle

L: Had this beer on-tap at Gene's Haufbrau, poured into a pint glass. Had a brownish-amber color and a hazy consistency. there was a thin, foamy head that quickly dissipated. Solid lacing.

S: A strong aroma of citrus fruit, vanilla, malt, and lactose.

T: Tasted of a decent shot of vanilla (more than expected), a tinge of malt (not a huge component), lots of citrus fruit (orange, of course), and some lactose (not overly obnoxious). An extremely sweet, oddly enjoyable flavor. For the most part it does taste like a creamsicle, though it does need to settle down first; the orange is quite bracing at first. Pretty tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Light- to medium-bodied.

O: A light and likable beer. Worth a try.
