On tap at The Alley Downtown Taproom in Aiken, SC.
Appearance. Clear reddish-purple body with a decent white head. The purple color comes from the use of ube (purple yams) rather than pumpkin or their near kin.
A very unusual take on the traction of Fall gourd and yam beers. While the aroma has limited appeal, I really enjoyed the distinctive flavor with its added notes of coconut and vanilla.
Vanilla has been added and contributes to the fine bitter-sweet flavor.
