750 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Had 3/31/17.
Pours golden- clear and bright early, cloudier later. A one and a half inch foamy head, with a good amount of foamy lacing. Active carbonation. The smell is yeast, brett, honey, some cherries and lemon, oak, light malt and apricot, a little black pepper. A little bready, with a generally spicy aroma. Tastes of malt, yeast, cherries, lemon, brett, some oak, spices. Tart, a little sour, acidic. A light bitterness up front, then the honey shows midway. Dry, crisp, smooth, a solid, fuller body for the style, well carbonated.
Really well crafted, lots of flavors and aromas. Very enjoyable. Have one more bottle, we’ll see how it ages. Although, I’m writing this ten months after the first bottle, so maybe it’s time to pop it!
