Cellared 6 years. Murky brown body, no head. Smell right away has the barrels competing for my attention, setting the sweetness of the rum and port barrels against the earthy deepness of the scotch whisky, getting blended tones of dark grains and wheat with contrasting sweet dark fruits especially pure raisin, caramel, and molasses. Taste is much the same, though the port is clearly 3rd in intensity, very boozy even after all of these years, barrels character not as complex behind the booze though. Feel is very warm and full, massive wheatwine that has some bite. Very enjoyable sipper that is different from the norm

500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2018 release, had 3/4/23.
Pours a mostly clear copper color, with a brief, short head and a few specks of cling. Aromas of rum, caramel, scotch whiskey, some cherry, some smoke. Flavors of scotch whiskey, caramel, malt, rum, some oak, light port, a little cherry. Smooth, a very good lighter medium body, appropriately carbonated.
The barrels are prominent, not dominant, especially the scotch and rum. The base is solid, and there’s good balance for a little lighter body. Very enjoyable.
