500 bottle, 2019, poured into a tulip
A- A clear ruby red with a small off white head.
S- Caramel, coffee, rum, rye whiskey, oak, touch of dark fruit, slightly earthy.
T- Caramel, toffee, coffee, rye whiskey, some rum, oak, earthy, some dark fruit.
M- Smooth, full body.
O- I am reviewing this more as wheatwine/barleywine with coffee seems to be a better fit to how this tastes. A taste big beer that is nicely balanced.

12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Released Nov 2019, had 8/21/20. Also had at Uppers & Downers event in Feb 2019.
Pours a mostly clear copper color, with a short, quickly dissipating head and some soapy lacing. Aromas of coffee, rye whiskey, oak, tobacco, malt, light rum, some char. The rye whiskey takes the lead in the flavor, then coffee, malt, lactose, rum- mostly on the finish, oak, a little char. Some alcohol as it warms. Smooth, a very good light to medium body, well carbonated.
Solid effort. The coffee is delicious and is really the star of this kind of unique brew. The barrels are strong, but tempered a bit for the lighter style. Nice job of putting this together. Would buy this again.
