500 ml bottle into a snifter. 2019 edition, had 11/7/20.
Pours a ruddy amber, semi opaque, with a half inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, strawberries, chocolate, cherries, light rum, a light berry aroma. The strawberries come to the front in the flavor, then rum, chocolate, cherries, rye whiskey- especially as it warms, light malt, a light berry flavor. Smooth, a very good light to medium body, well carbonated.
The strawberries are terrific, it’s like they were sliced into the bottle right before they capped it. The barrels are great, too, especially the rye whiskey. Overall, the fruit blend shows very well. This is pretty unique and a really solid effort.
