Imperial stout aged in Woody Creek rye whiskey barrels with black, Morello, and Luxardo cherries, Mexican cassia bark, and Ceylon cinnamon.
Señor Bandito runs the spicy, rye whiskey crime family. This Luchador gets its fiery heat from aging in rye whisky barrels, while a blend of Mexican cinnamon, black, Morello, and Luxardo cherries, and an undisclosed amount of secret spices seals the deal.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. 2020 edition, had 3/12/22.
Pours near black, ruby around the edge, opaque, with no head and a few specks of cling. Aromas of cinnamon, cherries, malt, some vanilla, light rye whiskey, some chocolate. The flavor is much more barrel forward, then chocolate, cherries, cinnamon, malt, vanilla, spices. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
This is really good. The cherries are the star, and all the add- ins and the barrels show well.

Pours a viscous pitch black color. Completely opaque. Thin, one-finger sudsy head forms on the beer. Dark mocha colored foam dissipates until just a thin ring of foam remains on the outside edge of the beer.
The aroma on this demands your attention - rich, pungent notes of cinnamon, cherry and cocoa immediately grab your nose. There are notes of bakers chocolate, musty oak barrels, spicy rye, with some lingering dutch cocoa.
Taste follows the nose with notes of cinnamon, chocolate and tart cherry up front that smoothly rolls into a mildly hot, christmasy blend of spices. Spicy rye and wet oak come through starting in the middle and continuing in to the finish as the spicy rye dies down and the woody notes become more prominent. Cocoa and roasted malts come through throughout. Its got some sweetness, like you'd expect, but its not "sweet" and it certainly is not a pastry stout.
Feel is medium bodied, smooth, and pretty dry, almost powdery throughout. Lingers into the finish. Beer produces a warming sensation as you drink it.
Overall this is a lovely stout - the flavors are vibrant, rich, and decadent. This is a must try for any stout lover.
