500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 8/28/21.
Pours near black, mostly opaque, with no head and some specks of cling. Aromas of whiskey, roasted malt, sherry, prunes, vanilla, chocolate, brown sugar. Sherry leads the flavor, then malt , chocolate, whiskey, vanilla, brown sugar, a light sweet note. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
Equal contributions from the whiskey and sherry barrels with a solid base stout. Very distinct and expressive aromas and flavors. Really enjoyable.
