Emerging from the fog is Barbarosa, a black and red raspberry ale that’s been forged by the darkness of Heaven Hill bourbon and Cabernet red wine barrels. A fighter who makes elusive appearances due to the scarcity of it’s ingredients. Get your hands on this one before it vanishes.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. 2021 release, had 1/1/23.
Pours a gorgeous dark red, mostly opaque, with a brief pinkish purple head and no lacing. Aromas of huge raspberry, some bourbon, red wine, grapes, some malt. Smells lightly tart. The flavor starts with just as huge raspberry as the nose, then red wine, some malt, light bourbon. Tastes lightly tart. Smooth, a very good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
Good stuff, solid in every category. Powerful and delicious raspberries, the wine barrels help balance the berries and the bourbon barrels are a nice compliment.
