500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 7/28/23.
Pours a dark brownish purple, opaque, with no head and a few specks of cling. Aromas of berries, some rum, chocolate, rye whiskey as it warms, light caramel. Pretty similar flavors: berries, chocolate, rye whiskey, malt, light rum, some caramel. Smooth, a very good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
Focused, but really good. The berries are great and the the barrels have a solid presence, but the chocolate steals the show. Great combination.
