Double Barrel Blonde Barleywine
BARREL: Barbados rum barrels - 1 year and Colorado rye whiskey barrels - 10 months
This year we welcome a double barrel tag team to the ring! Gigante, brother to El Petito, is a larger-than-life blonde barleywine who spent a year in rum barrels before finishing his training in rye whiskey barrels. His effortless motion shows through his smooth barrel character that will take you down with ease.

12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 10/2/23, had 5/21/24.
Pours a fairly clear copper color, with a half inch foamy head and light soapy cling. Aromas of caramel, rum, rye whiskey, oak, fig, dates, vanilla. Similar flavors: caramel, rye whiskey, vanilla, oak, some fig, a little rum. There’s a hint of cherry as it warms, and it also gets a little sweet at that point. Has a spicy taste. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
Really good. Tons of caramel, lots of spicy rye, solid all around. The rum barrels show best in the aroma. Could do without some of the sweetness, but it’s still quite enjoyable.

Classic barley wine. Sweet and boozy. Malt forward. Intoxicating.
