Black, oily pour, small khaki head faded quickly. Whiff of licorice at first, booze and some roasted malts. Flavors are great, dark fruit, some bitter roast/coffee, some sweetness from caramel. Not as thick as it looks, great feel. Never heard of Cruz Blanca, I will buy this again.

12 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 10/16/23, had 6/3/24.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of fig, oak, roasted malt, vanilla, some tobacco and chocolate, some prune and raisin, light bourbon. The barrels really kick in, in the flavor: bourbon, fig, oak, roasted malt, chocolate, light vanilla and tobacco, light raisin, a little caramel. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
Delicious, as it is most years. So many vibrant and distinct aromas and flavors. Maybe not quite as heavily roasted as most years, but still has a good bite to it.
