Had on tap. Purple opaque body with a tan ring. The berries aromas are so pleasaing, the mulberry in particular stands out, there is mild herbal and dark spiced tones from the barrel. Taste has the berries in a playfully tart way, the barrel is a great compliment. Feel is dark and smooth, not too deep but supports both the fruitiness and the herbal nature with a touch of wood. Can see why it medaled at fobab

I had this on draft 1/4/25 @ the Beer Temple.
Black appearance.
Small dark tan head; minimal lacing remained.
Chocolate covered cherry, wood, faint mint & herbal notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Chocolate covered cherry & wood flavors up front; mild mint & faint herbal notes on the finish.
VERY unique & definitely worth trying, but a little goes a long way. One to share.

Really unique beer - lots of berries, very fruity and jammy. Kind of sweet. Underneath that the bitters come through with a slightly spicy, but more so bitter character. Helps cut the sweetness. The alcohol is completely hidden under that jammy sweetness. Overall it’s a unique and enjoyable beer.
