My favorite Red Ale draft within 6 miles of home. It is my benchmark

First time I've had this in 3+ years, and it is way better than I remember. Dark ruby, not too much aroma, but do sense a hint of roasted malt and breadiness. Big and malty, lead by caramel and toasted bread, with a rich medium-full body and just enough bitterness to round out the sweetness. Cheers!

On tap for The Bruery Sucreversary held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.
Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with toast and caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but has a slightly better smell in my opinion.
