Purchased a bottle in Vienna Austria. 50 cl bottle with a ceramic stopper. Poured a dark gold/light apricot hazy color with lots of sediment into a Weizen glass. Big foamy white head that settled down to a long lasting covering of the glass. Filmy lacing on the glass. Lots going on with the aroma and flavor. Primarily a malty beer with a strong astringent yeast presence. Significant apple juice taste and little wheat bitterness. Sometimes the mixture of yeast and apple juice like flavors produce a sour after taste. Other times, the yeast and bitterness seem to combine into a more appealing flavor. Mouthfeel is rich for this style, some bitterness from the wheat and some fruit-like sweetness. Overall pretty good. Drinkability would be better with a bit less transitory sourness.

Hazy dark golden color with white head. Aroma is mostly grainy with a light medicine note. Taste is also grainy with some cardboard and earthy, dusty bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not really what I expect from a good kellerbier/zwickl.
