This smooth, Vienna-style lager is inspired by the brewing traditions of Central Pennsylvania. Caramunich malt gives this classic style a nice, roasty flavor while the Cluster hops provide a little bite and a touch of earthy bitterness.

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a medium coppery amber with a big, three finger light khaki head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of mildly caramel and big biscuit malt, hint of light fruit and nuts. Flavor is biscuit malt, pretzels, mild caramel and light grassy hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess. They did a good job on the Vienna lager malt profile, although this is a little maltier than this style usually is, and this is better for it. The color, feel and malt base are all more robust than I expected for the ABV. Not exactly to style, but a very nice tasting lager. This is not a style I usually seek out, but if more were this malty, I might.
