Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned 5/3/25.
Appearance: medium golden-orange hue with a dahs of haze and two fingers of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: sweet malt with a classic West Coast grapefruit peel character. Maybe a little bit too sweet for my taste, but still good.
Taste: like the aroma, the malt is sweet with a bit of caramel character to it. Hops are citrusy and a little bit earthy, and bitterness is there but maybe lower than I would have expected. Not bad, but I don’t like the balance as much here as in the aroma.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a pretty decent IPA, though it doesn’t quite balance out for me. The bitterness builds the more I drink, but there’s still too much sweetness here for my taste.
