Temescal Brewing

Nice place! Parking is an issue...vibe is cool and the customer service was great. The selection and quality of the brews were not in my wheelhouse, but it is a nice place to enjoy a brew!

 

 

 

This place is all day-glo colors with a heavy retro vibe. IPAs and pilsners seem to be the two stylistic standouts. The outdoor patio space is a hit when the weather is nice enough—so, year-round. Food trucks for the hungry.

this place cam so highly recommended to us that we just couldnt skip it when we visited california. its new school and innovative on the beer side, and the space is quaint, humble, minimalist, but with a cool artsy esthetic, a very interesting yet comfortable place to have a beer. the front half of the space is the taproom, with all the tanks and equipment in behind. a long bar covers the length of the taproom, and there are several tables and chairs set up in the front windows, but we elected to sit in this little box they made, with just one table and wrap around seating with bizarre paintings on the walls and comfy pillows to relax on, great energy in here. they had a smallish selection, but it covered a lot of ground. we really enjoyed the pilsener and the guava pale, while the saison was pretty average. the beer was all well made though, with a rather high degree of innovation, and i see the appeal. service was prompt but unremarkable. this is a great place to visit because the beer is fresh and clever, and the space is cozy modern and very mellow. we had a great time sipping the beers and conversating. it seems like these guys are just getting started, like they are at the bottom of what looks like it may be a long a steady upward climb to prominence. definitely check it out if you are in the area!
