Single hop with citra. Tasted bitter to all of us (even the citra fans). More of an ipa than American pale. claimed ibu of 51.

Pours a hazy orange-amber hue with a tight, half inch, cream-colored head. Clarity is nearly translucent. Nice nose - citrus hops are subtle but present and there's also a trace of butter. Taste was a bit of a let down. Primarily biscuity malts and a hint of citrus acidity, but not really much flavor. Finish is lightly earthy, medicinal and bitter. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a slight bite to the carbonation and a mild oiliness to the texture. Overall - great nose but a bit one-sided in that only grain bill comes out.

Pours gold, very hazy. Smells nice and bright, big citra with nodes of mango. Tastes... Way too tame, but it grows on me as the pint progresses. Mango, water, grain, and some strange hints of ocean breeze.

Citra hops leap from the glass to your nose, inimitable and obvious. Flavor follows, although the hops are incorporated with enough subtlety to avoid the dank current that often accompanies Citra hops.
Juicy, flavorful, and bitter; this IPA provides everything you want in the style.

On-tap 7/13/2014 at the brewpub in Providence, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a thin off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, citrus and earthy hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel that are quickly followed by a strong floral hops bitterness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.
