A: Pours a dark brown color with an extremely frothy milkshake like head. Excellent retention on this one.
S: Slight roasted barley notes with a soft hop twang. Slight chocolate notes also.
T/M: Roasted malt and barley with a coffee and chocolate finish. All of these flavors are a bit subtle. Milky smooth on the palate with a grassy hop presence.
D: Eh. Nothing quite exciting or even amazing. Just an ordinary run o' the mill porter.

almost opaque with some rudy highlights, while the head was OK and left some afterthoughts along the glass
the aroma is quite roasted, though in a soft waywithout any burnt astringency. the mouthfeel is smooth and the flavor a little oaty with some hop. it's a light porter, and thus quite quaffable. light, smooth and tasty

This porter pours with a deep black color and a thick tan head The beer smells primarily of malt, with toasted notes like a darker chocolate or cocoa. The taste is pretty decent for a porter, with plenty of caramel and toasted malt notes, but the overall body was a little light. It leaves a nice, soft bitter aftertaste. Fairly pleasant, and a nice above-average porter that isn't just a "poor man's stout."

Been waiting for this to come back for a while. It pours a midnight black in color that no light was able to penetrate. It had a thick head that never quite went away. The aroma was of dark chocolate. The taste was full of burnt malt (came thru as charcoal in the finish), freshly roasting coffee and the chocolate I smelled earlier. The mouthfeel had a slight alcohol burn, which I thought off for such a low ABV beer. The finish was crisp, but it left an old coffee taste on the tongue. However, the more I drank the more I got into the beer.

This beer had a good taste, but funny color and texture for a porter. The color wasn't dark enough and the body was a bit thin. The flavor had just enough malt sweetness to give it a nice taste. Also, not real hoppy. I think the IBUs was about 30. Overall, a very drinkable brew - especially on a cold winter day.
