This tropical stout (sweet stout) was brewed with molasses to give it a rich body. Toasted coconut flakes give it a slight hint of aromatics and pineapple provides a subtle, fruit finish. This beer is as smooth as Dr. Love on Seven Mile Beach in Negril! Yeah Mon!

On-tap 6/6/2016 at the brewpub in Providence, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a short dense tan head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains coffee, molasses, chocolate, roasted malts, a touch of coconut and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of coffee, molasses and coconut. There are some chocolate and pineapple flavors faintly in the background. Then a hearty roasted malt character and some lactose creaminess come in. The hops presence is very mild but creates a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, slightly filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.
