64 oz. pitcher poured into an american pint glass (not all at once)
Appearance: Amber colored with hints of orange and peach.
SMell: Smell is of dried fruit, figs and orange peel.
Taste: Get a sort of roasted malt feeling on the palate, which i wasn't expecting. Very smooth with even a hint of chocolate.
Overall: A decent brew from trinity that was nice to have to mix it up with a little since i generally just drink their IPA. If you like belgians give this one a shot

On-tap 4/1/07 at Trinity Brewhouse in Providence, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass. ABW is listed at 6-7%.
A: The beer is a light reddish brown color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick even lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of Belgian yeast, dark fruit, spice, caramelized malt, a little chocolate, and some hops.
T: The taste starts out with a Belgian yeast bite and some tart fruitiness (dark fruits, apples & apricots), and then a touch of hops comes in. The malt character is pretty hearty. The after-taste is bready & slightly sweet.
M: Crisp & very smooth, medium-to-heavy body, medium carbonation, clean finish.
D: Tasty, goes down easy, slightly filling, good kick to it, it’s a nice beer to stick for an evening, if you’re in the Belgian kind of mood. It seems like a tamer version of the Tripel that they had on-tap back in January, which was pretty good as well.
