On nitro-tap 10/28/07 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass. ABV is listed as 3-4%.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a thin, dense off-white head that fades very slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of maple, vanilla, roasted malts and coffee.
T: The taste is very sweet and creamy with strong flavors of maple syrup, vanilla and coffee. There's very little hops presence but that all right in this beer. The malt character is very hearty. The after-taste is very sweet.
M: Very smooth with a little crispness, medium-to-heavy body, light-to-medium carbonation, sticky finish.
D: Pretty tasty, goes down very easily, a little filling however, good representation of style while adding a twist, I could certainly drink a few of these and enjoy them before filling up too much. This one definitely seems like the perfect dessert beer.
