On-tap 11/30/2015 at the brewpub in Providence, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a medium dense beige head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains gingerbread, cinnamon, chocolate, caramelized malts and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out with some sweet flavors of chocolate, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then a hearty malt character quickly follows. The hops presence is very mild but brings some balance. The after-taste is bready and sweet.
M: A little smooth and a little crisp, heavy body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, slightly filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a while.

Beer pours a deep brown color with a tiny tan head (bartenders here tend not to leave room for head to fill pint glasses to the rim). There's a very faint smell of roasted malts, but nothing else really. The taste is on the sweet side. There's lots of roasted malts, followed by some sweet molasses and a hint of ginger. It tastes kind of like a ginger snap cookie (go figure). It's a medium bodied beer with low carbonation. I ordered another, so I'd say it's pretty drinkable.
