On-tap 12/28/08 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of caramelized malts, Belgian yeast, spices and a touch of hops.
T: The taste is malty up front with flavors of caramel, maple, Belgian yeast and some spices. There's a mild hops presence that brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a decent Belgian beer with some substance that is worth drinking for a while.
