Since a category style for Belgian Stout doesn't exist I have listed this under Oatmeal Stout.
A-Deep, dark brown with ruby highlights. A thin tan head holds on to leave spotty lace.
S-Mild, spicy Belgian yeast notes and a little dry cocoa powder.
T-Belgian yeast spiciness with underlying bitter cocoa notes. A bit of backing earthy hops in the finish.
M-Medium body with good lingering flavours and a dry finish.
D-Decent but not stellar, as I had thought it could be when I read about it. I actually felt there could be TOO much going on with this beer and it lacks focus.
